Securing your pool area
Do you know that since the 1st January 2006 all private pools have to be equipped with some sort of safety device?
This law applies to all private and communal swimming pools as well holiday villages, holiday cottages and even hotels.
A qualified professional should install material that has been approved by one of the 4 standards below:
- Security fencing: safety standard NF P90-306
- Security pool covers: safety standard NF P90-308
- Swimming pool enclosures: safety standard NF P90-309
- Perimeter security alarms : safety standard NF P90-307
In this region we don’t even consider installing motion detecting alarms because the wind sets it off often and leads to false alerts.
Your security, and that of your children and your guests, or animals is very important we advice you not to neglect it.
Each one of these safety methods has its advantages and drawbacks. Whether you are installing a new pool or renovating your old anything is possible. Your needs are unique, often the criteria in choosing a security system are; looks, easy to manipulate, good preventative method and of course budget.
